Absolutely. Human nature is innately kind. 95% of any population is essentially kind and good natured. Unfortunately, it is the other 5% who are scum, and who get all of the news coverage.
A year ago today, London was attacked by terrorists. 52 people died and 770 were injured as 4 bombs ripped through the public transport system and caused chaos.
Out of the ashes of this upheaval, came so many acts of kindness. The following day, stories of generosity, and help and acts of bravery were on every news programme, every radio phone-in and in every newspaper.
Stories of how so many people, often complete strangers, rallied round to get the sick and injured to hospital. Then came the stories of how people beat the disruption. How people got others home and that sort of thing.
Acts of kindness don't really make 'news' but they still happen. There have probably been some in your life today. maybe not all that significant or memorable, but they still happened.
There IS much more good going on in this world than bad. Always believe that human nature is positive.

Thank for all the Good in this world. And yes, there is a lot of good in this world.
However, i wish i could fully agree with you on this, i wish i could see it the way you just described it. I do see the beauty in those things, but it also reminds me of other things.
I'm amazed by the beautiful work Unicef and War Child do, i cry when that shows me how much it's needed.
I'm amazed how we care for the poor, the homeless, i can cry when i that makes me realize we still allow poorness to exist.
I'm also amazed by what people like Bill Gates spends on charity, i can cry if that shows me how unequal the world is.
on some points i can fully follow you. There is amazing Music, amazing Art, a childs smile can open anyones heart, and extraordinary people like you and many many others are also truly amazing.

Allah tells us to be thankful for all we have. Because it could be gone at any minute. He gives us so much, like some of the things you mentioned, and yet most of us are so ungrateful. There are many many kind people in this world, but there are many others who are filled with hate. Its like the old saying goes, one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch. It may not be true, but the truth and what people think is true are two different things.

It makes me mad when people bring up the starving children in the foreign countries as a way to elimiante the good in the world or to make God look bad. If every single person in this world that has the ability to make money would share with these starving people throughout the world then world hunger would cease.

And what a wonderful person you are to see the amazing in simple, everyday pleasures!! It was great for me to see your question because I need a daily reminder to look around me for lifes simple (yet wonderous) pleasures. Its just soooo easy to look around and see the bad that happens everyday-we should all try to focus on what is good about our lives and our world!! And you are absolutely right in saying there is much more good in this world-that is a fact!!! Thank-you for making my day-you ROCK-and may you keep on ROCKIN'!!!!

I am amazed by the ever widening gap between the rich and the poor, the powerful and the meak of the earth, by the never ending wars and conflicts for money, power and prestige, by the cruel oppression and torture at the hands of dictators and despots, by the injustice, suffering and misery imposed on defenseless and harmless peoples, by the apocalyptic devastation wrought on the environment, by the extent of human frailty and foolishness, by you and me,

I agree with you, but there is so much more bad/evil in this world than you think...I live in Houston, and every time I turn on the news there's rare good news, mainly it's about who died today.
But yes, let's praise those who actually do good.

I agree. You are 100% right. People who claim humanity is all bad
has never met Jesus and focus only on the evil in the world.

RIGHT ON!!! It's wonderful to see some one express what we should be grateful for versus complaining about what we don't have or suffer!! There are much better things in life to focus on ... I love sitting in my yard and just watching nature ... Nature sure doesn't complain and just lives day by day.
