Over the school year i continued to have problems with my nine year olds vice principle. She is so mean to all the kids but when she sees a grown up looking she changes her toon and acts as nice as can be. It is so sickeneing but i cant get the right people to believe me or they are just covering up for her behavior. One example, the first day of school she made all the kids throw out their lunches because they were too loud in the cafeteria. My son was starving when i picked them up from school. He had nothing to eat the whole day there. That is just one example...their has been more that my son seemed to be her target..I have gone to the principle and his boss...nothing was done. Any thoughts?

First of all, denial of lunch to a child as a punishment is illegal. You have him right there... and the district too, since his boss didn't act on it. Get a lawyer.

Secondly, collect similar stories from other parents. Start a class action suit against the district.

This is one of the best questions I have seen here. Answer: there is nothing you can do about the vice principal. She probably has tenure and even if she didn't they probably wouldn't do anything about it. I've been in a similar situation and the principal and councelors ganged up on me. They actually yelled at me. The only real option is private school. I would like to express my disgust for schools these days because the large majority of them are uncouth, but this is not the appropriate place.

If you have spoken with the Vice Principal and have not gotten any results than you need to speak with her immediate supervisor which would be the main principal in your Childs school.
If you do not get any results after speaking to the principal your next step is to make a formal complaint in writing and by calling your child’s school board or the superintends office. If I were you I would take care of this problem as soon as possible!

Write a nice but firm letter to your state Secretary of Education asking them to investigate the vice principle's conduct. Three days after you have sent the letter, send a blind copy to the vice principle and a copy to the president of the local school board. It worked in my home town, the principle was fired.

I am a teacher and nothing works like letting a local TV station know the facts. You could also write a letter to your local newspaper. Believe me, parents have more power than school employees.

Confront her and demand a reason, an answer. Listen to her rather than being upset. You have all the right reasons to be upset but people react better to the people who are willing to listen to them. And if it is possible, become her friend and your kid will benefit from that friendship.

Been through that. Its hard to fight the system. They band together like a pack of wild dogs. We just had to wait till our kid moved on to another school. When he's gone you can bust her in the mouth !! LOL

If you can get acknowledgement that this has happened from school personnel (other teachers, administration, or lunchroom staff), then take this to the school board.
