I have lost money on this little poll that I have taken at not only my work, the bar, a fair asking random people. So when I saw this I thought I would see what kind of arguements I could get out of you all. Thank you

Segal. Basing the fight purely on their movie violence, Segal hands down. Norris may be "America's Son," but Segal has the subdued confidence and fierce array of street combative skills to make easy work of Norris. Whenever I watch Norris I always think his stunts look fake. It just doesn't seem realistic for a guy in boots and tight jeans to be running around kicking and punching guys at will and teaching a tidy little lesson in the process. Segal fights for revenge and cares about the people he delivers. Norris only patronizes his charity cases. In the end Segal would break Norris' arm in three places, punch his stomach hard enough to make him fly through a wall and then finish him off with whatever else was laying around next to Norris' injured body.

Give me a break. Can anyone say "actors"? The only advantage Chuck Norris has is that he's in shape. That and Segal's fists would get caught in Chuck's back hair.

Segal was taught, and in fact surpassed, the person who originally invented Aikido. He's won more tournaments and championships, as well...

Also, since one of my blackbelts is in Aikido, I know just how defenseless anybody is against a good Aikido artist. There is no way to attack these people without breaking a limb or two, unless you get really lucky...

Weight has nothing to do with it. It's called Tai Chi. I can lift 200+lb people in a fight with one arm, and I have a tiny 150lb frame. I'm going to assume Segal is better than me in this case... In which case, Norris would be eaten alive...

Chuck Norris is an overrated and decrepit old man, Segal would win hands down.

I'd put my money on Chuck Norris. Segal is a punk at heart. Chuck is a warrior.

right now, segal. He's 6'6" and has done martial arts for as long as chuck. Chuck is good but he's a little old to be beating up an experienced artist 2x his size. They're both tournament type fighters, not street fighters.

As a fellow practitioner of a style of Aikido I would have to go with Segal. I mean Segal is the ex-CIA, ex-FBI, PHD holding, Native American, Japanese, revenge seeking, peace loving, nuclear missle the U.S. refers to as ICBM, who holds a body count much higher than Chuck Norris. Besides, Chuck's round house kick of death would be blended into an Aikido vortex of limb mangling torture until Norris cried cancer curing tears.

However, who ever said he surpassed the founder of Aikido is wrong. First, there are many styles of that art, and second no one can surpass the founder of an art (They are the founder, meaning creator, meaning they taught it first, it is not possible to outrank them!!!). You can only create your own art if you wish to be considered on that level.

Norris......Segal is good but you have to look at the record of Norris. He holds at least a black bet in 5 types of martial arts(Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Brizilian Jiu-Jitsu, Chun Kuk Do) , and was a world champion fighter.
