There have been several ocassions that I have blocked illegal parkers and called the police to ticket them. Nothing makes me angrier than someone takining up a handicapped parking space illegaly forcing people like myself to have to park further away. In my case it makes a very big difference as I have 2 damaged legs and multiple herniations to my back.

Simply...Yes!
Because they are selfish thieves who really have no morals or sense of brotherhood/sisterhood or neighborly consideration for anyone!
These same individuals who park in those zones are more than likely loud boisterous people who claim there opinion is the most likely to succeed because of their lower value stance of living!
Typically a person who parks in those areas, aren't necessarily incapable of taking the time to find an available space, they know first hand that their disregard is intentional! I am wary of people who are like that , because I know that when push comes to shove they are the first to run in any given situation.
Their lack of self respect is indicative of their disrespect of others! They value nothing and they give nothing, for it's not in them to share anything with anyone! It's all about them.
They are likely as well to keep their seat if an elderly woman or man has just boarded a public vehicle or seeks a seat, they are less likely to help someone who has fallen and more likely to say too the person who has fallen some disparaging remark. They are less likely to assist in any fashion anyone who may look to them for help!
People like that are the high moralist who judge based on greed and disgust of their fellow humans. Their roots of behavior stems back to their childhood, when they were denied basic remedial affection and were hurt and satisfied to level their sense of justice on the rest of society for the errors of another. Typically , one would call these people Cowards and Bullies because they have a history of picking on the weak!
These same people will reap some sense of justice one day in their miserable lives when quite possibly they will need assistance from the very person whom they deny!
It could be the most horrific occurence or the mere gesture of a nod that might save their limb or life and it not happen because that needy person remembers seeing them in their time of need and getting the finger from that selfish ingrate.
They say, that for ever wrong done to a person by another , it will sometime in their future , one day, that the person who did that wrong will reap a whirlwind of ills upon their behind that they will wonder why me and the only answer is IT'S PAYBACK TIME!

You should report them only when no handicapped parking spaces remain and you need one. When choosing which to report, be aware that people with temporary difficulties with mobility -- pregnancy, small children, an elderly or disabled passenger, a sprained ankle -- may have used the space even though they don't have a disabled license. Call the police to ticket them in a spirit of keeping order rather than one of anger. I sympathize with your health problems, but they should not make you disregard other people's situations.

Yes I do!
I work with people with disabilities, and I have a habit of looking at cars parked in handicapped spaces. A few months ago, while walking to the mall, I noticed a woman speed into the parking lot, jump out of her car and run into the mall, where she went into a manicurist's! She took a handicapped person's space so she could have her nails done! I am still kicking myself for not turning her in.

I would say no. Reporting them is being spiteful. They may have a temporary injury that you are unaware of. And remember handicapped parking is a kind of gift... one that says 'we realize you have troubles and we're helping you.' It's not a universal right. We're lucky to live in a country that cares enough about handicapped persons to pass laws like that. Other countries I've seen never have anything set aside for handicapped persons.

Yes! My grandfather is a senior citizen who needs to use handicap parking spaces due to a bad heart, hip, and knee. People who use these parking spaces that aren't allowed, are seriously damaging the lives of those who do need to use them and it is a serious fine if they're caught.

Absolutey. Regardless of what your handicap is. Further, they should be mandated to take a class on driving and identifying signs or perhaps they are illiterate, thus requiring further education in reading and most probably a good kick in the a**. Definitely a sign of ignorance and lack of consideration.

Stop reporting them. you dont know whats wrogn with them. what if they have a condition and didnt have a chance to go to the dmv to get the tag because their mother has cancer and they work 2 jobs to pay for their 2 kids whos father just died of aids. and you just got them a 200$ ticket to pay when they were in a bind. Leave a note on theri windshield explaining i wish you wouldnt be inconsiderate and take up these designated spaces for handicap people. its people like you that give the rest a bad name. if you are handicap please get your tag fixed asap so you dont get a ticket.

your a lil avid so u might wanna zerox it and have a stash in your glove box.

Yes, they should be reported. People who park in handicap spaces and aren't handicapped are just plain lazy!

I believe it is a better idea to smash their knee caps with a baseball bat so that they get to park there all the time. That way they will not be breaking the law. You would be keeping them out of trouble.
