I have no problem with LEGAL immigrants. I think the U.S. should change it's laws so that it is easier for people to immigrate here.
I oppose amnesty, because it would reward people who have already broken the law. Why in the world would I want to reward someone who has already proven they don't respect our laws? There are plenty of other people who do, and THOSE are the people we should be letting in.
Look, 10% of Mexico's citizens are already in the U.S. illegally, and many more would like to live here. If Mexico asked to become part of the USA, I would support that.

Wow - Are you saying that because someone works hard and has a poor family that they're allowed to break laws and steal people's social security numbers? If this were true all of our jails would be empty because everyone in there has a hard luck story to tell.
You can not reward people for breaking the law. Amnesty is a terrible solution. Law breakers need to be punished.

I have worked in the peach fields, and in the construction industry(plumbing, roofing, and electrical), and you don't get anymore American than me. Nobody WANTS to do those jobs, do you honestly believe that illegal aliens want to be out there doing that, or do you think they would prefer a nice air conditioned office?
I want no amnesty for the simple fact that it is bullshit. Why should they get a "get out of jail free" card, and not me? That sound fair to you? I am sure that that thought never crossed your mind though.....

Where I live, illegals are taking construction, housekeeping, and manufacturing jobs. Those are the only career choices available here unless you have a college degree. I don't think they should be granted amnesty because
-they steal peoples identities
-they are here ILLEGALLY
-I for one would gladly work those jobs
-My fiance and many family members do those jobs
-They costs money (healthcare etc)
If they want to be with their families, they can always do it the legal way.

Only 2% of illegals work in the fields the rest are taking good jobs that Blacks and whites use to do, Americans just won't do them for less than minimum wage, no body can live on minimum wage, you can't feed you family on less than minimum wage. what would happen if Americans went to Mexico demanding jobs health care, free schooling for our kids, and welfare payments, do you think we would get it. or do you think we would get deported.
