I have a Memorex 6136u scanner and I already downloaded the programm from memorex.com and installed it but when I go to Control Panel and try to ad a scanner in Printers and Scanners folder it doesn't show me file I downloaded. what should I do? I don't have the CD with hardware
I have finally added it to the scanners and cameras folder in control panel but now when I doubleclick on scanner sign it says that status is anavailable and I still can't make it work

restart the cmp and if that dosent work unplug the scanner and plug it back in then it should work.

How do you make a scanner work? Give it a raise and an extra 10 minutes lunch break.

Try add new hardware wizard or go to my documents and open program. If you have xp and the scanner is for other than xp goto compatability wizard and open in that. Good luck.
