Well I would think that the foundation for your dispute would be, if the restricted rule was no where to be seen (and I would get pictures of the area you were parked and surrounding area) then how could you have knowledge of the parking rules.

You may have to go to court and pose your dispute in this manner and even go so far as to say something to the effect of, how does the city just go around making up city regulations in secret and not have any notification sent out to the public in any form or fashion??

I dont' know if it will work, but kinda put some of the responsibility back on the City.

I don't see how it could be legal for the police to give you a ticket if the parking restriction was not posted. But then again it is the LAW and they will make anything legal the best thing for you to do it pay the ticket and don't do it again.

In most cases yes. For example it is illegal to park in the middle of the road, but they don't have to post it.

This is New Jersey you are talking about, if they can take some of your money, they will make it legal.

If you actually live their, I'd recommend moving, anywhere.
