DON'T sleep with your contact lenses on!!!!!!! i had gone to the eye doctor today and just as a reminder he told me NEVER to sleep with my contacts on.
a friend of mine slept with her contact lenses on, and in the morning she couldnt' find them in her eye because they had gone all the way behind her eye and she couldn't get them out, so she had to have surgery to get them out.

You can sleep with them in - your eyes just may sting or be dry when you wake up in the morning - so be careful when you take them out to let your eyes breathe when you get home - or take them out at your friends house for a few minutes before going home (but still clean them when getting home). You'll be okay - your eyes won't be damaged or get peeled off like so many folk lores say.

If they are only daily wear lenses, I would not sleep with them in. They may move away from the front of your eyes and get stuck somewhere else(yuck). I do not know if water will harm your lenses or not.

You can sleep in them overnight, just dont make a habit of it. I would as soon as you get home take them out and wear your glasses the rest of the day. This gives your eyes a rest and rehydrates your contacts.

Never hurt me before. I've done it so many times I've lost count. Even if you take them out and put them in water they won't get hurt. They will just not feel as fresh as your used to. Also your eyes will feel drier than normal after wearing them for so long.

Sleeping with your contacts will not cause your vision to get worse. However, it is dangerous as it can cause infections..And also dryness of your eyes. Do remember to take them off before sleeping .It hardly takes 15 seconds.

depends what kind of contacts you have. I can wear mine for 30 continuous days without taking them out.
if you don't have those kind of contacts though, it can make your eyes really dried up & stick together & possibly ruin the contacts. You should just put them in water in a glass or something.

Go and buy a cheap case and a small bottle of solution. I wear rigid gas perms and man they hurt when I slept in them!
