There are many Christian models. I think it's fine to be a Christian and become a model. There are some celebrities who are beautiful but not acting how God made them, but there are plenty of non celeberties either. God doesn't care how we make our living and money as long as we glorify and honor his word in how we live and work.

Hmmm...well it would be VERY hard to be a Christian and a model at the same time. The clothes being modeled would be the hardest part for me. And all the other things in a model's lifestyle that aren't things a Christian should be involved in. The main idea of modeling is to show off the shape of your body anyway, kind of. That's not a Christian thing to do. Even if you really are doing it to show off the clothes, you're still inviting people to look very closely at your shape. The makeup is another issue.
So I'd have to say that , being a Christian, I wouldn't feel comfortable modeling.
It would be very hard, when faced with either dressing in inappropriate clothing or losing your job, to make the choice for God. Too many temptations there. A Christian would have a really hard time keeping a modeling job because if they were really going to keep themselves pure, no one would hire them and work around their needs.

Actually, there is nothing wrong with being a model. However, what matters is the type of model.
For instance, we live in a society of "sex". It seems like that's all that will sell these days. If you're a Christian, would you want to be advertised in that way? I think God will frown upon that.
Bottom line, it is up to you to decide for yourself what is right and what is wrong. Ask God.
Take care and God Bless!

What a bunch of baloney. Sorry, but it's my understanding that god gave us all free will. As long as we don't hurt others, what's the problem? A lot of models give generously to their churches or places of worship. I don't see the churches turning down the money. Seems like double standards to me. If someone wants to be a model, I say go for it!

No, this is not true. God looks at the heart and not the appearance. Some religions are against makeup and jewelry and such. The bible speaks towards moderation of how women should look but that was for those of that day and time. May God bless you on your journey!

This what the bible says -
1Co 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have of God? And you are not your own,
1Co 6:20 for you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
this chapter was talking about staying away from fornication and lusting after a man or woman. Looking at a Beautiful model can lead to these sins. Also Paul talks about the way we should behave as a single person/married person.
Gal 5:16 I say, then, Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Gal 5:24 But those belonging to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not become glory-seeking, provoking one another, envying one another
This is what God loves .........
1Ti 2:9 In the same way also, I desire that women adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and sensibleness, not adorned with braiding, or gold, or pearls, or costly clothing,
1Ti 2:10 but with good works, which becomes women professing godliness.
1Pe 3:3 Of whom let not be the adorning of garments, or outward braiding of hair and wearing of gold, or of putting on clothing,
1Pe 3:4 but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, the meek and quiet spirit, which is of great price in the sight of God.
1Pe 3:5 For so once indeed the holy women hoping in God adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands;
I hope these scriptures help and also search these scriptures for your self and don't take my word for it. Just read them and let God comfort and talk to your heart.
-God Bless in Jesus Christ

It depends on what you mean by being a christian. There are so many denominations that each one has it's own view on various things. Why should it be wrong to be a model generally. There are many types of modelling work and to cast a general view that it is wrong cannot be right.

GOD does not expect you to never change or improve or be more. he gave you the power to create. The jews make it their business and accept it as their religious duty to repair the world. the try to improve on Gods work or finish it. god likes that.
he got tired and rested before it was perfect. so he wants us to do whatever we can to use or imporve his handiwork. GO be a model and show the world how beautiful god can make a creature. If he wanted you to be ugly, you would be ugly.

I guess it would depend on what you model. Being a Victoria Secret model is probably not a good idea for a Christian, becuase it is misleading.
