Did God rest for 1000 years and that's why he wasn't around to make sure Adam and Eve didn't eat from the Tree?

Wouldn't that be considered negligence?

Or is going on vacation and leaving your kids at home good parenting?

it's not negligence . God knows the end from the beginning . That's why he gave man free will.

I don't think that he rested for 1000 years and wasn't around to make sure Adom and Eve didn't eat from the Tree of Knowlege of Good and Evil. From the way I have read Genesis, the eating of the fruit comes after the resting chronologically. Genesis also says that God would walk through the Garden and directly speak to Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve ate from the tree because God gave humans free will. He wants us to love and obey him because we want to, not because we are forced to.

On one hand, your quesiton is silly - it would follow that any parent who turns from their children for any fraction of a second is negligent. On the other hand, I think that your question leads into a path of discovering much truth. The entire course of history, present, and future is God's will. It was within His will that Adam and Eve disobeyed, that man sin, and that His only son atone for those sins for the whole world. I joyfully follow a Father who knows all and leads us to an eternity with Him - I can think of no better parent.

he is always there , but he gave Adam and Eve decision to choose even he warn them not to eat from that tree, you can't blame him just bcoz he respected u as a human with a ability to choose, but when u choose u must take the responsibility of ur choice

That was all the wisdom of Allah the Almighty. if we go by this order, we can say why did Allaht not stop satan from distracting them or Whay di Allah creat that tree or Why did not Allah punish the satan on his disobediency or why did not Allah stop Satan from doing disobediency or why did Allah creat satan and ........
The only answer of this question is that was all Allah the Almighty wisdom and demosntration.
Allah the Almighty does not need to rest. He does not sleep at all. He does not tire at all.
Allah the Almighty is the greatest of all these things.
May Allah the Almighty bless us all.

Very funny. Did you stay up all night to think that up?

I can't believe you take religion so lightly.

God needs to come down and zap some more people like he did in the new testament.

in Islam , God NEVER RESTED , GOD NEVER GET TIRED SO HE NEVER TAKE A REST

in islamic story, God was like he is in that life; exists but not showen himself , our if you are in heaven you don't see him everyday, maybe not seeing him at all , so when Adam and eve ate from the tree , they disobayed him knowing that he will know (or is knowing) but maybe they said it will be allright , nothing will happened ( in islamic story , satan told them it is tree of entrernety , so maybe they thought it will make them emmortal even to God , i don't know )

so , the important thing to know , is that God wasn't asleep , or taking a rest , becuase he never do ....
