You'll have to take pain killers for now to help with the earache.

The only permanent solution is the dentist. the pain now might subside but it will come back.

remember the pain your feeling now is ten times worse than you'll feel at the dentist.

Well, try going to a regular doctor first then instead of a dentist and see what they say. Try Ambesol, you can buy it at the pharmacy and it will help to numb the toothache. The earache may or may NOT be related, so go to the doctor. Keep in mind that sometimes head colds or sinus infections can cause tooth and ear ache, so you need to see a doctor. In the meantime get some tylenol or something for the pain and get some rest.

Yeesh, I know what thats like! Do you have a good dental plan? If you need one, let me know. $11.95/month for a dental, vision, Rx, and chiropractic plan that accepts all on-going conditions, has no limits on visits or services, includes specialists (even cosmetic dentistry), and has no waiting periods. You can get to the dentist the same day! Get it taken care of before it gets worse. You should be more scared of that than a dentist. Trust me, I had a super bad infection and getting that tooth out was so wonderful I literally THANKED them. Anyway, let me know if I can help, you shouldnt have to pay full price for that!

well you just have to go to the dentist.
if the pain is so bad that over-the counter meds wont help then you could have an abscess and that is the worse pain Ive ever felt.(Ive had 2 babies and scalded all the skin off my leg).
You should go and get "oil of cloves " which is nasty stuff but deadens pain
.An abscess is a small bubble on the gum at first and then at first its a dull toothache.after a couple of days or even week of this the pain stops .....then comes back with the pain of hell!!! you will cry and want 3 dentists to do anythng to stop it.My advice go now whilst you can drive ,walk and not crawl there in tears
..I am not kidding!

There's a possibility that causes that pain is mayb the wisdom tooth that growing can causes the pain or your molar tooth that has been big cavity till the bacteria get into your nerve, U have to see the dentist to consult your tooth what can be done and he/she might take X-ray to see your tooth condition.. Not to worry to see a dentist he/she will help you to solve your problem... If you delay very long and the pain is very great is hard to solve better get it done earlier... Or if is not your tooth than you might get to see specialist E.N.T about your ear problem

Yes, as the wisdom teeth are in an area that will give referred pain and make it hard to be sure what is wrong. The Dr was right to suggest you see a dentist and at least a dentist can xray and confirm what is wrong there and then. Do not forget to go back when you have finished the course of tablets so that he can decide the next stage of the treatment.

in reply to previous answers, Dont put anything directly on the tooth as you have more chance of damaging the nerve. Take a painkiller such as nurofen and then place your index finger on your temple and apply a slight pressure and make a circular movement. After a few minutes the pain will have disappeared.

The best thing is to concer your fear and go to the dentist or it will get worse. I had my wisdom teeth that were a big pain (while I was preggy) and I got them out.....You will feel much better afterwards.. I was scared too but it was over before I knew it!! Good Luck

You'll have to face it and go to the dentist. They can sedate you if its that much of a phobia, but one way or another a dentist will have to do something for you or it'll get worse.
