If you blame their parents then shouldn't the blame continue to their grand parents, and great grand parents, and etc............

Mental/ psychological problems for the most part are a problem with the way the brain functions. Maybe it comes from the DNA passed on from their parents. Maybe a chemical in the mother's blood during pregnancy (IE. drugs or environmental conditions like mercury in fish she eats.). Maybe from an illness experienced by the mother during pregnancy. But unless the parents knew that the action they were taking would result in a problem for their child I wouldn't blame them.

First of all... epilepsy is not a psychological problem... it is a physical problem. Bi-polar can be caused by many combining factors, nature and nurture, as they say in the world of psychology. Many psychological problems can surface when there is poor upbringing, or when there are self-esteem problems, or when there are physical problems, or even when experiementing with drugs... therefore there is no clear-cut answer here. These things can be caused from a variety of reasons.

No. Epelipsy and bi-polar conditions are biological mishaps that occur during a child's pre-birth development.

You'd be amazed at how many rolls of the dice occur during a child's pre-birth development in the womb that may determine if they find life with heart breaking physical or mental challenges.....or they may pass all those dangers and enter life normal.

Not the two you mentioned! I think that some things that parents do can damage a child but sometimes psych problems are caused by a chemical imbalance and the parent's ahd nothing to do with it!
