About 6 months ago, I noticed a few hairs on my hands after shampooing. Thought nothing of it. Now, I am getting depressed realizing I'm losing my hair. I used to have the thickest hair in the world..every hairstylist would tell me this...i'm 28 and didn't expect my hair to thin this fast. Any ideas? Should I try propecia as long as I still have the hair? Thanks!

It could be genetic, or it could be diet. If you want to use chemicals on your scalp, that's your decision. It's really all about being happy with yourself. However, here is my 2-cents worth:

1. It is not unusual to start losing your hair in your late 20's.
2. Bald men can be sexy (especially smart and bald)
3. Don't do it for anyone but yourself. Any woman who looks at your hairline before she sees your heart isn't worth your time.
4. Be careful what you use to stop the hairloss. Some things can cause impotency or infertility.

Losing your hair can be caused by allot of things,,the majors are stress and genetics. Everyone loses about 100 hairs a day and this is normal to do so. I have never seen or found any products that do actually work with replacing or making your hair go. Try going to your local Beauty Supply store and they should be able to tell you about products that you can use.

Hair loss products can vary greatly from person to person. Carefully research any product before using it, especially prescription only ones.

Male pattern baldness is mostly hereditary so they may be no escaping it if it runs in your family.

If you're really desperate to cover it up then you could try camoflage products like Nanofibres.

If you have a good diet, aren't sick-- then its probably genetics.
You can try the baldness recipes, but believe me, a man who accepts his baldness (either through attitude or shaving his head)and doesn't try the dreaded comb over is still as sexy as he was with a full head of hair!

Top tip, avoid lifts with mirrors.
No matter where you stand you will have a perfect view of the crown of your head with a light shining right on it, even a head of perfect hair looks thin in that view.

I have a friend that had a bald spot at 19.

baldness is determined by genetics... and there is nothing wrong with it. it's cool to go bald!! Just do us a favor and DON'T do the combover. Any attempts to hide it will just exemplify it, so just let it go... you'll be fine.

It could be genetic. Did any guys in your family start losing hair early?

If hair thinning isn't hereditary then it could be stress. Are you going through a difficult period?
