Well, I suggest that you don't repeat. That's just a game played by the shampoo company so that you needlessly use more shampoo and then buy more of their product when each bottle runs out more quickly. So, you should only rinse and lather. Make sure you use enough of the shampoo for that time; also, try to stand still and let the shampoo sit (for maybe two or three minutes) after rubbing it into your hair. Then, rinse it out. I should re-emphasize to not repeat unless it's a special occassion. Often, it's a waste and has no real effect when you repeat.

Don't repeat at all. Use enough shampoo the first time to get a good lather, rinse well, and stop. That repeat is in the instructions so people will use twice as much, and increase profits for the manufacturer.

You never stop.
In this way you will be forever in the shower, and not driving a car or able to interact with intelligent people in any way. Therefore the rest of us will be safe.

most people stop after the second time if you do it too much you'll dry your hair out.
