Johava witnesses is known as a made up religion back in the early 1900's

They dont believe in anything at all. They even hate independence day and dont like the american flag.

What is the deal with these people and shouldnt they be prosecuted for allowing their children and family members to die because they simply wouldnt allow a medical procudure or a blood transfusion?

Yes there are several well documented cases of this happening.
Personally I think that the state should have removed the children in question from the family's care and forced the treatment on them.
It's what they do in other cases of neglect but the moment mythology rears it's ugly, ugly head, the state is powerless.

A “Circular of Information” prepared by three U.S. blood agencies states on its first page: “WARNING: Because whole blood and blood components are made from human blood, they may carry a risk of transmitting infectious agents, eg, viruses....Careful donor selection and available laboratory tests do not eliminate the hazard.”

Regarding a Canadian study, the Glove and Mail newspaper reported that thousands of blood transfusions involved near-misses be cause of “collecting blood samples from the wrong patient, mislabelling samples and requesting blood for the wrong patient.” Such mistakes cost the lives of at least 441 people in the United States between 1995 and 2001.

No wonder Brian McClelland, director Edinburgh and Scotland Blood Transfusion Service, asks doctors to “remember that a transfusion is a transpland and therefore not a trivial decision.” He suggests that doctors ponder the question,”IF THIS WAS MYSELF OR MY CHILD, WOULD I AGREE TO THE TRANSFUSION?” More than a few health-care workers express themselves as did/one hematologist, “We transfusion-medicine specialists do not like to get or to give blood.” If this is the feeling among some well-trained individuals in the medical community, how should patients feel.?

Let's take a "poll" and get the opinions (of people) by asking specific questions.

1. Were any of you ever a Jehovah's Witness?

2. Did you just decide to leave without a reason?

3. Was there a reason?

4. Were you disfellowshipped?

5. If you were disfellowshipped, for what reason?
Here are some reasons one can be removed from
the Congregation, please choose one or more.

Some of the offenses that could merit disfellowshipping from the Christian congregation are fornication, adultery, homosexuality, greed, extortion, thievery, lying, drunkenness, reviling, spiritism, murder, idolatry, apostasy, and the causing of divisions in the congregation.

6. Or is it just because you hate what we believe?

7. Why do you think, the prisons are full of so-called Christians, why is it that so-called Christians are the ones that "burn, spit, step on the "flag" and show disrespect not only to the flag but to the country they live in?

8. Is it because of people that could care less about
God's rules that are layed out in the Bible, you
people have 3 things on your brain, Catholics,
Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses.

9. Why don't you people wise up and start acting like a
Christian, isn't that what most of you claim to be?

Jehovah's Witnesses DO believe in all medical procedures. They DO NOT believe in blood transfusions but will accept the use of artificial blood replenishers. I studied with them back in the 90's. They believe that they must be "in the world but not part of the world", so they do not approve of any man made holidays or politics. They have an odd doctrinal system and truly believe they are the chosen ones of God. They have rewritten the Bible so that if you read it and the KJV side by side, you will find many discrepancies.

Jehovah's Witnesses started a long time ago, checkout wiki...

I don't see a problem with it. I would not accept or participate in any medical procedure that goes against the Catholic faith.

No matter what.

I don't support things like the JDRF or other types organizations that do stem-cell research because it goes against our beliefs. If there were a treatment that required the use of such materials, I would turn it down - regardless of the outcome.

I respect other faiths and their doctrines, I do not condemn them, nor choose to ridicule them.

The way I have read about it , is... yes they would let their children die and anyone in the family.
Some Jehovah's wear a medical necklace . which does help in case of certain medical problems they have.
But blood transfusions they do not believe in.
I feel in my heart that this is a cop out and spending money on things such as Christmas, which they do not believe in either, is their way of being a scrooge...
if their was a law against their beliefs, then I really doubt they would be allowed to let such things happen , such as letting their own people die.
I have never had any respect for this belief and have read about Jehovah's in college.
There is enough terrible and ugly happenings in this world , this is just another terrible crime as I see it.

First of all i can tell by your spelling that you are not very literate... and second yes Jehovah's Witnesses dont accept blood transfusions, and this is because we are following a bible commandment to abstain from blood. and Third... i dont know who told you that we dont allow medical procedures? Because that is absolutely not true. Witnesses go to Doctors just like everyone else, and pretty much the only thing we abstain from is blood. If you know someone who didnt accept a medical procedure it was their personal decision, not something they were not allowed to accept.

Yes, actually most of them would allow their child to die. THey don't celebrate any "man-made" holidays, they only celebrate those things that are shown in the bible. They think believers should have an alliance only with God and not with any gov't, which is why they do not stand to say the pledge of alliegance (spelling?).
Some of them have been prosecuted and had their children taken away... Neglect, among other things, is what they are usually charged with.

Blood sustains life so why should it not save a life. These JW's will one day find a way to make sense (to themselves) out of saying that it is a sin if you are not walking around with a yardstick wedged up your behind.
