My 2 year old daughter spikes a low grade fever 101.4 to 101.9 just after her nap time. It has been happening for a few days now and has happened in the past. She get very cranky until she is given ibuprofen to break the fever. She seems to have no other symptoms. Any ideas what may be happening?

Fevers spike up more in the afternoon & evenings. She needs to go to the doctor, as she might have an earache or other virus/infection.

My daughter was one who never cried when she had an earache, the only way that I knew was by a fever.

I always alternate Motrin with Tylenol for fevers. Reminder: Motrin is for 6-8 hours and Tylenol is for 4 hours.

Are her molars coming in? Schedule a dr's appt for Friday and if it goes away, cancel the appointment. It may be an ear infection?? I would suspect molars or an ear infection.

Also, next time she naps and awakes with a fever, try a bath to see if that breaks the fever without the ibuprofen. She doesn't wake with fever in the a.m.??? hmmmm

I dont think she is having different fevers for a few days. I think that shes having one fever for a few days. Take her to the doctor, and he can give some medicine.

Is she sleeping under blankets and getting to hot?? My 14 m.o. loves to bury himself under his baby blanket once he falls asleep I will go move it off because he gets so hot. That could be it.
i hope it's that simple!! Try a fan and cooling down the room. If that is not the case perhaps a trip to the DR...happening kinda frequently like that!

Schedule an appointment with her doctor and bring up her symtoms to him - if you feel something is wrong - keep asking other doctors until you get an answer you are satisfied with.
