Would a detective suspect theism or atheism of being a fallacy created by people. Would you consider this type of lie a crime against humanity?

I guess that is a little bit tangent...
Two schools of thought...God or no God. Which is guilty of being wrong? Look at the two opposing beliefs critically like a detective; who has a reason to believe (motive), the chance to promote the belief (opportunity), and the ability to promote the belief (means)?

Religion: It sounds like something people would make up..."The most powerful awesomely great guy ever, loves us and we'll never really die." The religions of the world have traditionally controlled society, and still do. And religions breed and brainwash their members.

Vs. Atheism...We are here for no reason, we are finite and suffer, we lose our loved ones, there is no justice, the world is full of hate and there really is a hole in the o-zone layer. We are considered evil by society. Our money has "God" on it, and we have to regularly fight to keep the theory of evolution in public school, as opposed to creationism. Who would make that up?

Evolution...YEA!!! And my take on god (theism) maybe a little more scientific than you'd like to know. Does it exist? Yes...as some kind of all knowing super-being,NO!
Think...Tesla...laws of energy...
I know our story of creation is a metaphor,
but it's a really beautiful, romantic & somewhat erotic one. Shades of grey...I guess....
Blessed Be...

First the detective would have to prove or disprove the existance of something supernatural. And, as of yet, though no proof is forthcoming that can be given to everyone... there really isn't a way to disprove it. You can only say there is a lack of evidence. At best, you can call it a hypothesis... or maybe a theory. I only consider those types of things a crime against humanity when it's destroying humanity... though certain fanatical groups are doing a "splendid" job of this... for the most part, theism (I really wish people would quit lumping all together under this group... you don't see Pagans doing the same things as Muslims or Christians) is more of an individual thing. You are always going to find the hard-core fanatics online, simply because no one will put up with their **** in the real world.

Religion is faith. There is no proof that God exists or existed. The motive could be the overthrow of the human mind, heart, body, and soul for personal gain. The opportunity could be the desire to do the right thing as human nature. The means would be meetings in public, private,or on television. In the context of the question religion is a crime against humanity.

A crime against humanity is exterminating Jews because they are Jews, for example.

And unless some major deity came down and was killing people, why would a detective even bother with the case?

Atheism. Because a good detective would examine the evidence of the Bible and ascertain that the science of statistical probability of all the Biblical prophecies being fulfilled are astronomical - yet fulfilled!
