i do not like this co-worker because she is rude, bossy and lazy. She rarely talks to me but when she needed a ride home, she is following me everywhere backing me in a corner. I made up some excuses but what about next time. I do not want to be rude though.

Me personally:

No--- it is only bad blood.

You will have to work with that person for 8hrs, but in your spare time you do not have to spend time with him/her and then your personal vehicle!!!

DON'T GIVE HER A RIDE. Don't reward unfriendliness, rudeness, bossiness and laziness. Arrange that you don't go home at the same time as her or tell her you are going another place which is not on the way to her home.

How far does she live from work? Would she give you a ride if she could? Can she not call a friend or relative to pick her up? I agree with the person who said something about tell her she needs to talk to you when she doesnt need something!

Keep it real. Be true to yourself.

It's not worth the effort of giving her a ride home.

Just tell her. I don't give rides to co-workers. Now, since you don't like her, what deference does it make if she gets upset.

Just tell her you don't want to give her a ride. Or, you can give her a ride and use the time to talk to her about how your percieve her. Making sure to say, "I feel......" so it's not about her.

You should talk to your manager about her. If your manager is a good person, they will keep it confidential and realize that she makes people uncomfortable. You're probably not the only person who feels that way.

If you don't feel comfortable talking to your manager, you might not want to work for them anyway.

Ask her why does it have to be you that has to give her a ride. She should ride a bike to work and back.

If you feel she only talks to you when she needs a ride, then confront her. If she gives you BS then tell her "No".
