There are several movies that this happens in, but what will really happen because we don't have the technology to get our butts off this place, will we just stay here to die?

Looking at that question, two things can happen. First thing is what will happen when life is not supported. What will happen if a containter full of water stops holding the water? The other thing will be the end of the world. Since no humans are left then the world has ended. Now the guys on shuttle discovery will be back and be all gay so we cant really populate the earth again. I also firmly belive that you have too much time on your hands.

I think we have the technology but Im not sure it will be shared with everyone. I feel a very selective group of people will make it to another planet and that they will find away to mess that one up too.
