Of course we do. I believe it is an international thing cuz the Italian and the English do also.
We have as many accent as there are regions..Whew... In the North they have a very strong kinda germanic accent. In Paris they are insisting on the "E" in the words. As you get further to the south, thre are even words coming from the old (Patois) french language here and there with what could be a Spanish or Italian accent. I come from the south and when I speak french with my accent, people think I speak Italian. Quite funny really.

Of course there are regional accents! There is "l'accent du Sud" in Marseille, Toulouse, Montpellier (Southern accent, which sounds Spanish-like), "l'accent parisien" (the accent from Paris which is seen as kinda posh, by some people). There is also the Eastern accent (from Alsace which sounds German-like).
Of course, the French West Indies have their own accents too: Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyane...

yes. the "purest" French is in the Tours region (below Paris), where there is virtually no "accent." Parisians sound different than Southerners (Provence). In Provence it has a bit of a twang, like for the word "pain" (bread) we say "paing."
