The eyes are the windows into the soul. Learn to read eyes as interrogators do and you'll better know if it's truth or deception.

And stank you smelly much.

There are no "Basics" as such when reading body language...it's mostly "Cultural". For example it's considered rude to look someone in the eye or 'eyeball' them in some cultures and yet here (in the USA) we are taught that it means one is lying or avoiding eye contact to hide something. Belching out loud is rude here but it's a compliment in some cultures to show that the food was appreciated. Some cultural body language examples are kissing (once, twice or multiple times), shaking hands, bowing, hugging, noses touching or touching on shoulders, all signifying greeting.

Closed arms means they are not "open" to the conversation or it could mean they are angry or do not want to listen.
Eye Contact means they are honest and will look you straight in the eye
Walking back and forth means they are thinking about an issue
Slouching in their chair means they are tired and overwhelmed

These are just my interpretations:)

you tend to judge them based on what your culture tells you is okay and react from there where it is right or wrong.
