There is a draft. Its called selective service and all men that are 18 are required to register. Its just not being utilized right now. Im a woman, so I dont have to worry, but I had the balls to enter without being required to. I joined in 2004..knowing there was a war going on. I think more people should join. I dont however agree with our troops in Iraq. There is no reason for them to be there anymore.

Yes, because I was already in the war! Although they wouldn't send me to the Army, I would have to go back a Marine Corps Recon Sniper Division. I could only wish for the army, well maybe not, but they have it SOOO EASY!! To answer your question again......YES.

No, not in this situation. I will not be forced to join an Army which is inherently Racist, Chauvanist and trained to kill another person. The current world situation does not make me sympathise with our cause. I was in London on 7/7 and thsi isnt a 'War'.
If my country is threatened directly, or the well-being of a people is violated by another, i would fight to protect their freedoms.

Absolutely not.
I've been a paramedic for years and have spent a lot of time and energy saving people's lives. I have no desire, nor do I feel a sense of duty, to kill people or assist others in doing so.

At 19 I enlisted to serve my country in the Navy. I'm no longer in because I wanted to stay at home and take care of my children while my husband was in Iraq. If my country said they needed me, I would be very proud to serve again.

Of course I would go. It would be my duty to protect our freedoms bought with our forefathers blood. If you wouldn't then you might as well pack your bags. You don't deserve to enjoy the liberty's they died for.
