I hope Bush does not treat it like Iraq, and give them more time, they had all the time in the world to hide stuff.

when will you people that say they are poor wake up, they want to destroy Israel and wipe it off the map, they said so, they have evil agendas thats why they keep avoiding talks with us, when you don't wake up and realize they are a threat is when you will be taken off guard, and I don't believe its all about the oil, they approved off shore drilling now, its about freedom and not blowing up the world, they'll probably hook up with North Korea next.

giving them more time will definitely be a bad idea because apart from them hiding their nuclear stuff, they will have more time to get more nuclear weapons, or even negotiate with north Korea, but what can we do, we can't go about attacking every threat, we would lose soldiers, and also there are some of us who believe we should leave "poor underdeveloped countries" that would do anything in the name of jihad- alone. so i think what we should do is come home and invent weapons to defend us against nuclear weapons instead of trying to stop those guys from having it. if the rest of the world decides to own nuclear weapons, we cant fight the whole world and win (because we won't use our nuclear bombs on them) they have little to lose so they might use their nuclear weapons in desperation on us. we would have to recover to do it back...(if we know who did it)

Nothing.

Why are we so scared about Iran having enriched uranium? They have signed the NNPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty), and they say they just want a power plant. There have even been statements by their foreign minister that they would allow IAEA inspectors to inspect their facilities. The IAEA has an open investigation regarding Iran, but has been unable to find any evidence of a nuclear weapons program.

On the other hand, there are a few countries that have NOT signed the NNPT, and have active nuclear weapons programs. India and Pakistan, for example...these two countries are also still locked in a 60-year dispute over who owns Kashmir, and have fought two wars during the past 60 years.

And how about Israel? What do we know about their nuclear weapons program? We know that it was started in secret, in violation of international treaties. We know they have nuclear weapons, though we do not know how many. The Israeli government refuses to officially confirm or deny that it has a nuclear weapon program, and has an unofficial but rigidly enforced policy of deliberate ambiguity, saying only that it would not be the first to "introduce nuclear weapons in the Middle East". Israel has not signed the NNPT either.

So, what is the difference here between Israel and Iran? The difference is that Israel is an ally to the US, while Iran is not. Iranian officials have made openly anti-Israeli remarks. Iran is an Islamic Republic, and the western world just isn't very comfortable with Islam right now.

The matter of Iran should be settled in the UN with the help of the IAEA. America has too much vested interest to be objective on the matter.

Our military situation isn't too good right now so I don't think there will be any attacking of any country anytime soon. Also understand that the more Iran is defiant, the more money they make, their defiance sends oil prices through the roof and oil happens to be the major export if not the only export for Iran.

First of all, they had no where to hide it, with all those no fly zones in place... and second of all you are so gullible to believe they had it in the first place... has the world not proved it to you yet...

Because the US has no interests in Iran (other than oil), its a matter of time before the Bush clan finds its way in Iran for a confrontation....

What gives US the right to determine who should and shouldnt have nuclear weapons? The US has it, its allies have it... but its enemies cant have it... GROW UP...

Nuke them before they nuke us. I say we just mind our own business and maybe the Middle East countries wouldn't be such a threat top us. We have enough issues of our own. Our own people are starving and are homeless. Doesn't anyone give a crap about that? No! Let's just send innocent kids out to get killed for some stupid agenda Mr. Bush has...he just wanted to finish what daddy started. I just hope he does the right thing for once in his life.

We should fly a bunch of fighter jets very low over Tehran, just to get people a little nervous.

Then we should have a drone go overhead playing "The Ride Of The Valkyries" (remember how effective it was in "Apocalyse Now"?)

Lastly we should drop the big one: a million leaflets saying, "You have been very, very naughty. Next time, it's a spanking for certain!"

Tell them to go ahead with their nuclear power plants. They have every right under the NPT. They do NOT have rights to nuclear weapons as signatories to the NPT. If they break the NPT, then they can be rightfully sanctioned.
Tell them if a mushroom cloud goes up over our soil, Iran gets turned into a giant green glass parking lot.

You leave them the hell alone. It's a poor, underdeveloped country and the US can find other measures of controlling their nuclear technology instead of bullying them around. And when Iran has taken enough bullying, they will launch nuclear strikes. This scenario can be avoided if Bush wasn't such a frakkin' moron.

they have and still do. they are planning a massive airstrike all over the country. there is ni way to put troops in so it will be mostly airstrikes and missles from ships and subs. it will be a true shock and awe nit like iraq. which was a central location. sites around the country will be slammed. their planes and airfields destroyed.

well because he is so worried about bad press and poll ratings, we are going to lollygag in the UN and then when we realize they are incapable of doing anything, we'll prolly bomb them
If Iran wants nukes so bad, we should give some to them...some in Tehran, some in Bandar Abbas, and some in Bushehr.
