No one can tell you that answer. You need to decide that for yourself. Other peoples beliefs or lack of them will not get you into those pearly gates. You get there on your own merits and beliefs and in the end you stand alone. No one will be there beside you when and if you are judged so believe as and what you want and be prepared for the consequences of those beliefs.

I can think of some:
1. If you become a true Christian Jesus will expect that you will follow him and take up your cross, or the work he gives you here.
2. There are a lot of things in this world that you will not be doing
3. You won't be going to drinking parties and having sex before marriage.
4. You won't follow the styles and fashions of the world but will concern yourself with living a modest and clean life before God.
5. You will probably be made fun of in this society by those that teach and practice evolution.
6. The homosexual crowd will make fun of you and your beliefs
7. You will be in church on Sundays instead of at all the latest events that are happening.
Is that enough or do youwant more.?? I did not say that it wasn't worth it, because it is worth all that and more.. But you will surely be confronted by those above if you truly give your life to Christ.
I CAN GUARANTEE YOU THAT YOU SHOULD BELIEVE IN GOD AND THAT YOU SHOULD BECOME A CHRISTIAN. But you asked for the negative reasons..

Go to a church or just pick up a bible and read it.Oray and ask God to help you understand what you read.
Don't give up in one day because obviously you have lived several without any faith.Just talk to Him and ask for understanding and knowledge.
You don't have to give up all the fun things in life. You don't have to go live in a tower somewhere and be separated from non-believers.
Do you think it all happened by accident, this world? That some rock floating around got some cosmic dust on it and life all sprouted from that?I just believe that a higher form has put us here and gave us a book to read that has been around a long time for you to interpret your own way.
Do you believe that you have a soul?A rock collision did not create that.
I will pray for you to my own God that you will find what you need.

Well, the biggest reason would be that his followers seem to take pride in their own ignorance. I've seen some unbelievably stupid answers by people who obviously know little or nothing about science, nature, and the universe because they simply refuse to be educated. No wonder Americans are so far behind the rest of the world in science and math--their religion holds them back from wanting to know anything. Who needs that?
And secondly: God does not exist. No proof has ever been given for his existence other than, "My holy book says so," or, "Just look around you!" or, "I feel warm and fuzzy when I pray." Feelings and opinions are not proof.

1)
There is no empirical evidence for its existence.
2)
If the universe is so amazingly complex that it must have a creator, then something perfect and even more amazingly complex as god is supposed to be, must also have a creator.
...this creator would then need a creator, and so on....to seemingly absurd infinitum.
3)
Science has done a nice job of showing that a creator is not necessary for the universe to exist.
:-)
You could also consider reading:
"The Case against God" by George H. Smith
and
"The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind" by Julian Jaynes
These two might help clarify the origins of the god myth, in the human psyche.

You've already provided your own answer. You don't know whether or not to believe, which means you already agree there is no rational argument to be made in favor of his existence that you are aware of. If there was, you would believe without question.
Is there any other aspect of life where you base your beliefs on what you wish to be true, rather than on what your experience tells you is true?
If you try to believe something that you don't find compelling, your subconscious will punish you mercilessly with doubt.

Reasons not to believe in God: 1. You have no need for hope and comfort in the face of human mortality. 2. You believe that the miracle of life was a freak accident that occured in a basically inanimate, hostile, random universe where it doesn't matter if you do right or wrong.
Hope that helps!

There is no reason why you should not believe in God. You are here and you are only here through God. Go to church and talk to some people you will not be sorry. You will have a new found feeling about your entire self and all around you. I promise.

Perception is reality. If you believe in something then it's true to you and if people believe collectively then it becomes true to more people. God exsist because we believe he does...same as God doesn't exsist because we believe he doesn't'.
I can't tell you why or why not to believe...but some good and bad reasons why people believe.
Good
1. Belief in something greater creates humility in people.
2. Belief in another relieves people from feeling alone.
3. It creates faith in something not factually proven.
4. Creates hope for the downharded.
5. Gives strength when one feels hopeless.
Bad
1. People hold Gods responsible for their problems.
2. Religion use Gods as scare tactic for $$$$$.
3. Belief in just God is not substantial in society.
4. Depandancy upon Gods to make things happen for oneself.
5. People disregard science for religion.
Believe everything of what you feel you can prove to yourself.
If you want to know if god exsist for you or not...ask for a sign of 24 hours...in your head...focus on it and keep it inside your head ...like you want someone to pay for lunch...put Faith in it and see what happens.

A couple could be that there is no evidence of "God" and there are explanations for other questions such as creation if you so choose to believe in them. Other than that follow your heart and what feels right for you. I believe in in a higher source but I don't call it God.
