Instead of praying that something falls into your lap, get off your bottom, and get yourself a job. As for the car-is there public transportation in your town? It's cheaper, and better for the environment.

you really don't need a true believer to pray for you!( although it certainly can't hurt) You can do this for yourself. Release your fears, picture them floating away like brightly colored balloons and then figure out what you really want. God does have a sense of humor, so be specific.. a job close to home, so that you can walk to work untill you can get a car, or how much you want to make, what bills you want to be able to pay, whatever. Then really concentrate on what you've decided you want. Do this as often as you can and ask for Gods help... Then remember that sometimes we should be thankful for the prayers that God didn't answer! Sometimes we know what we want, but not what we need.
Good luck and I'm very sorry for your loss.

Yes, I will pray for you and your mom. Begin thanking God for the victory and when it is manifested in your life make sure you give him the praise. God bless you and I look forward to your testimony of answered prayer here on Yahoo answers. In the mean time one way you could get some income coming in is to apply to temp agencies. You would be able to look for a more permanant job in between assignments or if a company you get an assignment with likes you you could get hired permanantly that way.

Everything happens for a reason. You may be unemployed precisely because you are needed at home for your mother. Everything will be O.K. I will pray for you, but don't lose faith! That is the key to getting an answer. Take some time alone and listen for your answer. May God bless you for your service.

Heavenly Father, I lift up to you this woman and her mother. Sorrow is a time that I do not understand but you do and I ask that you provide the daily needs they have as you know their situation and what it is that will take them through each and every step of the day and night. In the precious name of Jesus I plea on their behalf. Amen.

I counted 6 people on this forum who are serious about praying for and I will make #7. But you too can pray for yourself and your mother. God hears the cries of his children and He reaches out to them. Just let him know with a sincere heart what it is that you need and he will answer your prayer according to His will.
Be anxious for nothing but in everything through prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto to God. Phillipians 4:6
You and your Mother will be in my prayers. I am sorry for your loss. God bless you!

Certainly. Here are some you can say on your own:
God, our Father, I turn to you seeking your divine help and guidance as I look for suitable employment. I need your wisdom to guide my footsteps along the right path, and to lead me to find the proper things to say and do in this quest. I wish to use the gifts and talents you have given me, but I need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment. Do not abandon me, dear Father, in this search, but rather grant me this favor I seek so that I may return to you with praise and thanksgiving for your gracious assistance. Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for the Grieving
Gracious God, please comfort the sorrowful. When a loved one dies, it changes our lives so quickly. Help those who are living in grief to know Your loving embrace. Teach them that the dear ones they miss are truly living in the joy and peace of your heavenly kingdom. And as the pain eases and the healing begins, give them the strength to reach out to help those who follow them. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
