I would consider myself agnostic. Only because I like to debate with myself over the possibility of the supernatural and of higher powers. So assuming there is a God, why do you all fall in line like worthless sheep. Even if there is a creator and he promises you paradise, you still must obey and worship him. What is wrong with you, don't you have any pride and faith in your self. Or is it just easier for you to except that theres a higher power so you should obey. It would drive me to the point of insanity to ever have to give my life over to any being. I would rather spend eternity in pain then to follow anything. Don't you all have faith enough in yourselves to say NO! I will not worship just because I'm told, I am my own being, and only I control my fate. It just makes me sick seeing so may docile answers like "Read the bible. Its God's word so thats all that matters" Maybe instead of asking for forgivness you should be saying there is nothing I need your forgivness for. Peace.

Religion is opiate of the masses.
It's so much easier when you don't have to think for yourself.

well Do you pay taxes??? Why do you submit to the Government and pay taxes???
The reason that I worship him is because he is worthy of being worshipped. He is the owner here and you must obey him as it is his house.
You say only you control your fate. Take control of your fate, make a planet for yourself to live on. Make yourself live forever. Make the natural elements obey you..
You have an iflated view of the power that you have at your disposal. You are not able to control your destiny and are subject to his rules. He has given you a certain liberty and you have (by what you have written) rejected him and his ideas. If you don't need his forgivness then you will not have it. You will also never have peace in your life. I am not condemning you just telling you what the Bible says.. You will probably spend eternity in pain then if that is what you live out in your life as a decision.
Me I choose to worship him as the King, Father, Creator that he is.

No...I hope I am a WORTHY sheep! My life is more purposeful now that I don't have to deal with knowing that I don't have, nor will I ever have all of the answers (a.k.a. Faith.) I don't have to go around trying to "prove" my imagined and narcissistic perfection to anybody and I'm very comfortable in my own skin.

I know when to say "No" and better still, I know WHY to say "No."

One might ask himself, why did he behave like a sheep when his mother taught him to speak or tie his shoe? Why didn't he just say "no" and remain a colossal, inept ignoramus for his entire life?

Learning and listening are life-long endeavors. Some of life's questions or problems are very tough and beyond of the realm of mans' small mind. I understand that. Some people can't admit this to themselves and would prefer a superficially happy lifetime of ignorant bliss...just like a real bovine-sheep.

God reveals Himself to people when they have a humble heart. In Romans chapter 1 v 18 -20 it says: But God shows His anger from Heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities-His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.

Don't listen to hearsay....Seek God - He can change your life!

I worship because I want to, not because I have to. When you have that relationship with Christ, then you will want to follow Him. The funny part is if you don't follow Christ, you follow the world (aka society). More specifically, you follow the devil. You cannot tell me that you don't wear "what's in style" or name brand clothing or go out and get the latest hair cut? That's considered following society. If you see that everyone else is doing it so you're going to do it as well, that's following them. We are human beings and we do have a tendency of following something or someone.

Most people cannot handle the fear, uncertainty, injustice, pain, and suffering of this world without believing some magical parent figure will make it all better in the future. Those few, few, few, few of us who can handle it AND have the strength of character and Will to self-define know it is (metaphorically speaking) better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven. If I thought god were real I'd still rather forge my own destiny than be his pet.

Ahh yes, what I like to call sheeple.
They believe because they are scared of eternal damnation. I am convinced that is why Christianity is so popular, the Christian Church uses 'scare tactics' to keep their followers.
