um wow OK, You are going to divorce your hard working husband that owns and runs his own company that supports you and your 4 KIDS! how about stop winning about it and be a faithful wife that is supposed to love him and understand that it is hard work providing for your family and it takes long hours to run a company. And maybe think about your kids that need a stable home with a father figure and a mother that thinks of more then herself! maybe if you think about your husband and try to support him he might be more inclined to be more supportive to you! crap a marriage takes work people it is not a video game that you just reset if things are not perfect. you are being provided for not abused, or beaten. food is on the table and the roof is till above your head. grow up and take care of your responsibilities. soon he will have more time and the kids will be out of the house and i bet he will support you up and down the street! but man I can not believe what a selfish and pathetic question you have posed. I can not help but pity your children if you are there role model and feel sorry for your husband for obviously making a huge mistake in your character or lack there of.

Um no you should get no support!

He owns a company? I would be talking to a "good" divorce attorney. Call around and get recommendations. Don't be shy, they work for you not the other way around. If you are getting no satisfaction feel free to fire them on the spot. A good one will see that you and your children are taken care of.

He'll have to pay child support and the spousal support depends on the state you live in..... as far as his company goes... it depends on how it's set up (Corp, Sole, Partnership, etc).... but if he owns a business it's probably time consuming... cut him some slack.... his hard work has probably resulted in that roof over your head..... as well as a few other things, right?

You may have to go to family court for the support, but you should get it.

You should also get some kind of "Maintenance" Payment commonly referred to as Alimony. Be careful. Alimony is deductible by your soon to be ex hubby and income to you. So you may be required to file estimated taxes.

First you will have to fight for custody, expect him to try and get custody just so you don't.

Next you will have to have a property settlement and then get an order for child support,

since he is self employed, there is no employer to garnish, so when he does not pay or is late, you will have to keep going back to court to force him to pay.
