I have bipolar type II, that's the one where you have the mood swings, mine are depression and anger and hyperactivity. I'm 43yo female. Type 1 bipolars, suffer from hallucinations, ect. Type II are usually very intelligent. However, you do need to see a psychiatrist to get correctly diagnosed. Learning about the disease, helps you to understand why you feel this way, now there are numerous medications that help stabilize your mood, so the swings aren't so wild and noticeable. Check out the site www.about.com and search bipolar. Read about bipolar and then check out the forums sections where people ask questions about their meds, ect, or any other of the topics they have. Many, many people have bipolar type II and manage to still lead a full productive life. I am an RN, with BA in psych. School was hard, but I did it with an almost 4.0 GPA. Educate yourself about the disease, or go to the site, eventually you will probably figure out what the problem is. Also, please see your family doctor and have them recommend a psychiatrist, not a psychologist. You need the psychiatrist to get you on the right medications to stabilize your moods, then if you need counseling you can add that later. Don't give up, there is LOTS of hope and treatments available to you. God Bless....

I used to get like this alot, i would recommed going to see your doctor and talk to him about it.He will beable to help. As i expect that he is a good doctor. I was recommended to take passiflora tablets there availiable not on perscription and are a herbal tablets so they dont have anyside effects and you cant get hooked on them and they really do work.. I would go to the doctors first and see what the doc says and go from there he will know best after all.

Get a dog (but choose very carefully and make sure you are well matched), they help you to get excersise and also (as you have to look after an innocent animal) it takes away worrying so much about yourself. It really does help. I know as I had the same symptoms. And they become your best friend and listener!

sounds like bi-polar, or as initially known as manic depressive... you need a consult, go to your family doctor to give you a refaral...
It might need to be regulated with food, sometimes a nutritional ballance is acting in a drepression form... you may be lacking some minerals or might be low on vit B-complex... either way, go see a doctor

I think it sounds like you are bi- polar too... I would check out some of the online tests for it, and maybe take some of them that you have filled out with you when you go visit your gp... Good luck hun, hang in there =)

Try distracting yourself away from your feelings, by focusing on other people. You need the support of others but also, try helping other people...reaching out to others stops your being insular and self focusing.
