You can try to gently place a couple of drops of rubbing alcohol in your ear to dry things out. Only do this once, you don't want to dry things out too much. There are over the counter ear drops for water, but I think it's kind of expensive. You might want to consider Ear Candling, you might have some ear wax blocking the water in that you cant reach with a Qtip. Call around to Salons in your area, a lot of them do it if they do facial and leg waxing. If it's been more than a few days and your hearing is completely gone, you should go to the doctor, you may have developed an infection, which could cause permanent damage. I hope that helps! Good luck!

Several valid suggestions were made. Peroxide and other drops help loosen wax in the ear canal. Hot air gently blown into the ear will help remove water, but be careful not to use too much air pressure and flow, or to burn yourself. Don't laugh at the nose in the ear comment, my parents suggested the only thing you should put in the ear canal should be your elbow. An old time physician taught me a simpler and safer approach to water in the ear. Use a lamp with a 100 watt bulb, the lamp shade removed. Sit with the bulb 12 inches away from your ear ( with the light on, of course) for 20-30 minutes. It has worked for me and my patients

I get water all the time stuck in my ears from swimming. What I usually do is just sleep on that side for a night. It usually clears it right up. If not use a cotton swab to soak up water. You can go to your local pharmacy also and pick up some special drops that remove water from your ears.

u could just wait it out...eventually it'll evaporate.
if not..like the other people said: rubbing alcohol is ok and the stuff at pharmacies to get rid of water in ur ears is just that...diluted rubbing alcohol. if u use q-tips (cotton swabs), i would make the tip kinda small by twisting the end a little or removing a little of the cotton...and don't go in too far.

Tilt your head sideways, squeeze rubbing alcohol in the effected ear, and then drain it into a towel. There's a product that is manufactured called, "Swim Ear" but it's expensive and its effective ingredient is alcohol, so rubbing alcohol works just as well.

Pinch your nose, take a deep breath, close your mouth and puff gently at first increasing until the water starts to come out. Hold your head to one side to clear the ear on that side. Don't worry, it works......................
