Yes, there is. The Bible talks about it so I believe it. Also, I heard a story once about a famous preacher (sorry, I can't remember who it was) that was asked to give a reason why he believed in an afterlife without using the Bible as reference. He thought about it and finally gave an example of an unborn child who is safe and warm inside its mother. The child is very happy there and can't imagine that there is more to life than what it experiences right there in the womb. Yet we all know that there is a whole big world outside of the womb. I know I haven't done a very good job of telling that story, but it still makes the point that just because we haven't experienced something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

There is life after death, how else would you explain your birth to your parents and not to Bill Gates or any other royalty or to a poorer sets of parents. Why do you get that head start in life as opposed to all others, that is because you have karmas with these people and as and when karmas are over and done they move on or you move on. The intensity with which you acted when your karmas ripened will bring you to next set (good, bad or even). The best state is when you even out.

The is no solid evidence for life after death at this time, thus I am not able to believe in it.
There are the questionable claims in various religious texts...but, they offer no valid empirical evidence to back up their claims.
The 'going into the light' experience in humans that have had NDEs (near death experiences) has been shown to be reproducible by stimulating some brain regions, as well as occurring in other situations in which a person is nowhere near death.
No proof yet..so, life after death, is not a rationally maintainable belief.

i believe without a doubt in life after death , as a medium i have given evidence of life after death and also received such messages , but the best evidence i found was in reading Dr Raymond Moody's books on near death experiences which gives it from a more scientific point of view .. with reports of children , adults , different cultures and races experiencing the same or similar while clinically dead

Yes, there is life after death only through ressurection. When one dies nothing continue to exist i.e the body, spirit all the soul they all die.You return to a non existence form. That is why we moan the dead since death is an enemy not a promotion to a better place.

In the Bible all through it, it mentions life after death. Paul says to be absent from the body is to be with the Lord. In the parable of Lazarus the beggar and the rich man, because Jesus called Lazarus byname it is believed to be a true story rather than a parable. In Revelation, over and over they speak of the ones in Heaven. When Jesus spoke of Abraham, He said Abraham rejoiced to see Him.

yes there is a afterlife. The Bible says when we die we wont just cease to exist, but we Willl stand before God and be Judged for every thought word and deed. the Ten Commandments wil be God's standard so let's look at a few. Have you ever lied? have you ever stolen something? have you ever looked with lust? Have you ever used Gods name in vain? if you have said yes to these questions, your guilty of breaking Gods Ten Commandments. the Bible says if you stand before God in Judgment, and he gives you Justice according to your sins you will end up in Hell. The Good news is that Jesus Christ came and suffered and died on the cross to take the punishment for all your sins. if you will repent (turn from sin), and put your faith and trust in Jesus God will grant you everlasting life in Heaven with him.

Simple, there is no life after death because there is no life before birth. It's a really basic cycle.

No, nothing is after death, well not for the dead, anyway. The rest of the world goes on. As far as a reason? Complete lack of proof of any sort of afterlife is good enough for me. Just like complete lack of proof of a unicorn in my pants is good enough for me to believe there's no unicorn in my pants. Non-existent things can't be disproved, logically you have to accept the lack of proof *for* them as evidence of their non-existence. Otherwise just imagine all the other crazy crap you'd have to believe? Guy tells you he has weasels in his head? Gotta believe it, no proof against it. Lesbians taking over your mind through electrical outlets? Can't disprove the mind-control rays, have to believe it!
