i wish people would at least do some research before declaring the armed forces an evil life sucking force ... youre all stupid ... what do you think would happen if people didnt go into the service ...
and yes you will get shipped somewhere else ...but depending the scores you get on the entrance test and the job you pick from what you are offered makes a very big difference on whether or not you will a " ground - pounder " ... or just in the country fixing things ...
i know ... and have talked to many recruiters and know many of the things they lie about ... because ive talked to many in different branches ... they do not lie about what you will be doing ... and they are honest with where you " might " end up ...

Well, it is not likely it would happen right after joining, you have to go to boot camp first. You also might attend other schools after boot camp depending on your specialty. Since there is a war going on right now, after school it is pretty likely you would get deployed if your specialty is needed there.

as of now.....a good chance..dont listen to the recruiters...they alwayz say that theres a slim chance t get shipped of....they just lie so that they can get paid for recruiting you..and they can care less about what happens to you
