My male persian cat who is about 4 years old has this habit of getting mad. There was once where he stared down at my friends black clothes in where he growled fiercely . He was vaccinated. Do you think this is a common behavior? Or something to do with loneliness (he's the only cat i have who lives in the attic and sleeps on the roof.)?

My mum found a 3 kittens in the street! And she thought they were adorable (which they were). I brought them up to my cat and he got REALLY mad. P.S. My cat hasn't been trained much to go to the litterbox when he needs to, this is why we keep him out.

I love cats
And I know a lot about them
And I think that you need to ask your vet
But in my advise growling at clothes, he does not like other animals
And sleeping on the roof and lives in attic, he longs for a compainon but is very picky about who he wants as one, or it could be depression, or it could be that he loves his alone time and does not anyone to disturbe it.
I'm not 100% sure I am right but I think I'm right

If you haven't gotten him fixed (i.e. neutered) then there's your biggest problem. A tom cat (unneutered male cat) is aggressive by nature and even more territorial then other cats. Cats by nature are bad about claiming an area as theirs, bed, yard, your lap, etc... doesn't matter. I doubt it was the color black that set him off, probably something he smelled or sensed about the person. Was the friend a male? If so your male cat may have sensed your male friend as a threat to his space. Cats will sometimes use their humans as a substitute as a mate when none are available.
For better explinations about why he acts the way he does, talk to your vet.
