If you're both shy and you're willing to make the first move, then make it. Most guys will really like it that you are making the first move and not him. This can also take the pressure off of him and he will be more open to holding your hand and texting you.

Tell him you're getting bored and going to start seeing other people unless he can move on to the next level of the relatiionship. If he doesn't make a move, then move on!
