many soldiers serve out their time doing duties in the USA. Not all soldiers are deployed overseas. They may have jobs that are located in the USA. However usually the soldier is not in control of this, the military decides.

No I have not...The army is a huge machine that is full of complexities. An Army of One requires men and women to serve their country in many different ways. For example, the front line soldier who dodges bullets in Iraq everyday, was seen by 91E (dental assistants) to make sure he wouldn't have any dental problems while fighting in Iraq before he left the states for Iraq.

It happens all the time, not all MOS' (military occupational specialty) are needed in every theater of operation.

i am in a tda unit.. were non-deployable as meddac. maybe my next will be a field (tda) unit. hopefully not.. heh
