Very likely its just clogged with hair and debris.
If it is accessible, the best thing I've found is to unscrew the trap below the drain and clean it out. Another place of clogging is the stopper-mechanism. Take it out (usually you can do this without too much trouble just by unscrewing it) and clean it.
If you can't access the trap, use a clothes hanger or snake (if all else fails) to physically remove as much gunk as possible. You'd be shocked how much hair gets clogged down there.
I haven't had too much luck with chemical drain openers. Usually the water starts to slow down again in a month or two.
P.S. You can get a small snake in the plumbing section of most hardware stores. It is a long metal spring on a coil, with a little hook on the end. It allows you to drag stuff out of your drain.

Is it the shower drain? There's probably a build up of hair.
Try to remove as much hair as possible using your hands and see if the drain works better.
If it doesn't, run out to the store and get some Drano or a similar drain cleaner.
Follow the instructions on the bottle, and your drain should be good as new.
If not, call a plumber.

You can use something like liquid plumber but I would remove the trap and clean it out. People are always dropping things in bathroom sinks like Qtips and tweezers and then all of the hair and soap scum builds up on them until the drain runs slow. I have found toothbrushes and nail files in traps before. Give it a shot. It's easy to remove the trap and clean it out.

First thing to do, after clearing any visible blockage, is try pouring boiling water down the drain. Do that a few times, because the most likely blockage is soap.

Draino, or a Plunger, or sometimes a bent coat hanger and you twist it around inside the drain (sometimes you can hook this up to a drill but I wouldn't reccomend it)

Go to your local hardware store and pick up a small auger (snake) .. they cost about the same as a bottle of Drano .. are much better on your pipes and the environment ..... they are easy to use and you will have it from now on!

start with the strongest liquid draino you can find first. use two bottles if necessary. if that doesn't work you'll need a snake to unclog the drain. plumbers have snakes. plumbers can cost.
