As if invading our country isn't enough, they hit our vehicles and have no way to pay and no insurance. Meanwhile I have paid high insurance costs since I was 16. Do people in Mexico just not carry insurance? What do they do when they have accidents, shake hands and drink some tequilla together?

Because this is not their country, therefore they do not have to obey our laws. The proof there is that they broke a law just coming here, it's downhill from then on.

From a practical standpoint, auto insurance doesn't make sense if you're driving an old car of little re-sale value that is unregistered, and has phony license tags on the back plate, and there's no driver identification in the car anywhere. If involved in a collision, you only need to jump out and run away and buy another car for $50. Economically it's a pretty sound idea.

Quite simply - it costs money. They are taking a chance that they won't have an accident. It's unfortunate that you and I have to pay additional insurance for uninsured or under-insured drivers. Contact your local city/county government. More and more places are impounding vehicles of those people stopped for traffic violations who are not insured. This keeps them away from their cars and maker them think twice about driving without insurance. Good luck.

Maybe because Taco bell pays minimum wage. Speak to your congressman to ensure Mexicans earn a decent income, then they could all earn big bucks like you and afford auto insurance!
Unless you are a native american indian, you are living on stolen turf dude, so dont give the mexicans a hard time about wanting to live in the US too.

Most Americans I know don't buy insurance when they drive in Mexico (especially college kids who cross the border for stribclubs, underage drinking, etc.), even though it's legally required in Mexico too. They risk jail to save money, even if it means they have to hit and run if they get in an accident. Their usual response is, "whatever, it's not my country."

They have fake ID Fake green cards, fake SSI Numbers. I don't think they are worried about Ins.
There is a car dealorship where I live that has a sign out front "No Licencia, No Problemo" Great Huh? This is why your insurance is so high.

Here's a question for you: why do white people always b*tch about everything that doesn't go their way? Is it because they're all spoiled brats that think they deserve everything just because they were born in a country founded by people from all over the world but are too ignorant to realize it? Hmm....I wonder.

They can't get insurance because if they are here illegaly, they can't get a drivers licence to begin with. Any ways, I'm Mexican, and I've always paid for insurance.

Because they have no respect for laws here. As a matter of fact, they don't respect much of anything and yet, they can't figure out why we (anti criminals) feel so strongly about them infesting our country. They start out by breaking the laws here and then just keep doing it. It's criminal mentality.

Hey thats not fair, I'm sure there's plenty of white people/indians/asians/native americans with no car insurance. Obviously they don't have any because they don't want to pay for it.
