My first question is how old are you, how long have you two been together, and what have you two agreed to do about the situation? All of this will impact what happens next.

That aside, keep in touch any way you can. Phone calls are wonderful, but IM and email work, too. And write letters - it's a tangible connection. Visit each other when you can. Some people find webcams useful. (And I don't mean for "nasty" pictures.)

Otherwise, you have to adjust to living your life "single yet taken" meaning you aren't dating or doing anything like that, but you are not dependant on him for your daily happiness. It isn't easy, some times it hurts a lot, but it can be done.

Also, make sure he's on the same page as you. If he isn't putting in the effort to hold up his end of things, there's a problem.

Depending on how far, go see him, or plan weekends to see him. Make sure you keep the communication going. Long distance relationships are hard.
