I'm not saying that I do or don't believe it, but could it be possible. And why is there no mention of Jesus for so long in the Bible?

Realistically he would have been married because he was Jewish and taught religiously which you couldn't do at the time without a wife. So it makes more sense than Jesus being celibate. And maybe Jesus had been mentioned before and we just don't know it yet. They seem to find more and more different texts that have been hidden away. There's a whole wealth of knowledge we don't have access to yet. Maybe it's part of that. I don't believe the Bible today is the whole story. Especially because it's been redone several times throughout history depending on who's in charge, like the King James version reflecting King James's beliefs. I think we need to focus more on the earliest texts because they would have the earliest recollection of Christ.

Absolutely, Jesus goes from 12 yrs old to obscurity. Then He is 30 and poof there He is again! Many years in between. He did have brothers and sister, so somewhere His line still exists anyway. Could He have married, why not? There is nothing to indicate one way or the other . A good number of the Apostles were married men and there is no mention of their wives either. By the time the New Testament was put into book form, men had already decided what they wanted the religion to be like. They eliminated any writings that did not agree with their concept. Some little things slipped by but on the whole it only says what they who compiled the book wanted it to say.

hmmm. The bible mentions Jesus' family as well as his close friends. I don't think it would have neglected to mention such an important thing as Jesus having have been married. Plus, they prob. would have gone into explaining her being tortured in some way just to get at Jesus. If she wasn't tortured then she would have been among those mentioned who mourned him, but there is none like that. There IS a verse in the bible though that mentions that Jesus had no offspring and he was not attractive. It's in Isaiah 52: 2 and verse 8. Enjoy

Yes I do believe that Jesus could've been married. I don't know if you know this but the Catholics (no offense to Catholics) "edited" the Bible, they claimed that the books had been burned, but I don't believe this. I think that they hid them or something or burned the books themselves. The controversy over "The Da Vinci Code" is only big deal because the Catholics are mad over it...because they think Jesus was celibate (didn't have sexual relationships or get married) therefore they're celibate. If Jesus got married then that means they could have gotten married that's all...so maybe Jesus did get married but if he did that's fine...there's nowhere in the Bible that says he couldn't or wasn't allowed to get married.

Jesus is mentioned in the Second Testament of the bible.
Unfortunately, I think we will never know if he was married or not.

If someone could prove that he was married and back it up with evidence, this would create another mess of problems.

New religions would pop up to either spread hate or glorify Jesus!

Absolutely not, they are creating blasphomey and doubt>
That is satans job to create doubt in us so that we know Jesus for who Jesus is our Saviour, don't fall for it.
Jesus came for the purpose of teaching us the ways God wanted us to live in, Jesus came and was sacrificed on the cross so that through his blood we could finally be forgiven for our sins.
In the Old Testament they sacrificed lambs, without a spot, they kept them 14 days to make sure they were not sick before offering them up for a sacrifice.
Jesus was without sin, and did not come here to have lust for another Jesus was God son, and had to be made in the image of man to be the final sacrifice, and it only had to happen once, the veil to the tabernacle was torn in 2 from top to bottom once Jesus was sacrificed, showing that the new tabernacle is in us, The holy spirit, and that no other sacrifices have to be made.

It would have said so if he did. He was too busy in his ministry traveling from place to place. It definitely is not a possibility. He showed respect to women and that elevated the worth of women in the human race (whether men did or not) he did and that's what counts. It seems most of the time he spoke to women first and shared deep truths with them before speaking to men. But no he didn't get married.

It's well known outside of christian circles that the historical Jesus was quite different than the myths they attached to that man. Yes, he married, walked away from the silliness of the crucifixion, and lived a long life, dying of old age.

I believe he has to be at some point, whether he was then or will be. I am Mormon and we believe one cannot enter the Celestial Kingdom without entering into the new and everlasting covenant of marriage. He is perfect, and therefore must fulfill all law and that is one of them...
Don't know why he isn't mentioned for so long..
