First of all, please don't try to lose the weight that fast! It can be VERY dangerous and put a lot of strain on your heart.
The first port of call for you is to go and see you doctor. They can advise you how to change you diet and what exercise you should take.
Whatever you do, don't starve yourself! This puts the body into mode where it will store fat and not get rid of it. Keep eating; but instead of things like sweets and crisps eat fruit and veg.
Drink lots of water, any drink that is not water is actually classified as a food.
Training can help remove some weight, however training is more useful in sorting out body tone. I personally would recommend a martial art as it gives you a work out as well as being lots of fun!
To me, a person's weight is meaningless fact. What is more important is your general health and fitness. People who train a lot will actually weight more because muscle is heavier than fat.

20 lbs in 40 days .... that would be quite a stretch. Seriously, if you're looking to shed the weight, the best way to go is to stick to a regimen of diet and exercise. You may not lose all the weight you might want to during that time frame, but what you do lose would be noticeable enough indeed. Sticking to a goal of losing 2-2.5 lbs each week would be a more reasonable goal IMHO.

Why do you need to lose weight so quickly??? One thing is get daily exercise at least 30 minutes of cardio a day either running, playing sports, ciycling, swimming. Stay away from soda, sugar, cut down on bread, stay away from greasy foods like hamburgers, french fries. If you can eat chicken, turkey more than beef do it. Cut down on noodles, rice and white bread. Summer is a great time for exercise, go out and swim, even if you are a little overweight, go swimming anyway, go biccycling anyway. The only way it will happen is if you get out and do it. Unfortunately your friends and even parents can't make you unless you want to do it. But hopefully your parents will join you in taking walks in the evening or playing ball or bicycling. If you have a dog or know someone with a dog, take them for a walk daily. I think subway has a kids club for staying healthy, check out their website for more healthy advice. Dont' get discouraged!!!!

You can go on the lemonade Diet. With this diet, you are supposed to loose 2 pounds per day because you will use the bathroom so much. Have the confidence in yourself and watch what you eat but don't let anyone make you feel bad about yourself. with 3 hours of exercise at day and a diet you will do it. Try to make it fun go swim, play sports a lot of sports. Eat good things that dont make you fat.. at least eat 5 times at day because when you eat it makes your body work faster. Sleep the 8 hours.

first you cant lose that much that fast....second try eating more healthy such as cutting out the junk food and not sitting around watching tv as much or video game playing...get outside more and do more physical activites that kids your age do...and second talk to your parents about this.....a 10 yr old shouldnt be asking strangers how to lose weight...
