You could try putting your mouse arrow to the top left of where you want the crop to start.Hold the left click down and slide to the bottom right where the crop should end. This is with the SELECT tool on the left.If you were to select --edit---cut---the box you selected would disappear!So--I call up another PAINT then R click--copy---then paste to the other PAINT.You can-- save as---file type--drop down box--in many formats.

You probably have to buy one, paint is just a basic type program for drawling and isn't the best when it comes to cropping photo's. If you've got a digital camera, you should have gotten a CD with that and that will have a lot better tools for cropping photos.

With Paint, you have to outline the section you want and cut and paste it into a new window if you want to trim the left and top parts of the photo. I have not seen any other way to do that with the program.

There is a tool in paint for doing that. It looks like a dotted lined square. You can drag that square over what you want to keep and then cut or copy that section. Then paste it back in a new blank window and save.

Picasa2 and Infranview are both loose and do astonishing jobs. between both of them i do not use my photoshop as a lot any extra. seem them up on a glance for engine. in case you purchased round hundred money then i'd advise Photoshop factors 4 less severe priced than the completed photoshop yet can do maximum each and every element a hobbyist may opt to do.

Get Gimp! It's a freeware image manipulation program that is almost as powerful as Photoshop. Go to http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/
to download a copy.
