"I will not try this again"
"Once I am out of here, I am staying in Mexico"
"I thought that I would only be deported"
"My friends just got deported and did not go to jail"
These quotes came from illegal immigrants caught in Arizona.

Illegals are losing the battle.

Pro illegals, if you do not believe these quotes, WATCH THE NEWS. They spoke in Spanish so you can hear what they said. Yes, I speak Spanish but refuse to do so.

That is rich.

Look at this one too: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/17/AR2006061700455.html?nav=rss_world/centralamerica

It shows that enforcement of our laws works.

Fancy that.

Hmmmm......very nice. I never wanted an "illegal" to WIN a battle though. So funny how you have lined up on one side and yelled "red rover, red rover".

If illegal immigrants lose their bid for amnesty.....it will be the because that is what was voted for by our government. Whether I agree with it or not.

But I have never "teamed up" or "fought a fight".....I have simply stated that MY opinion is amnesty is the best idea (after secure borders, stopping any further flow, background checks, and limits on federal and state aid).

I have never said "nanee nanee boo boo" see my team got a point today. Grow up! If you are floating to victory.....BRAVO! This sheriff has taken a tough stance on "illegal immigration".....I can only hope that doesn't affect how he takes care of the rest of his community.....or are "illegal immigrants" the only problem in AZ. If so......WE ARE SO MOVING THERE.

It is really irritating to me to hear the smug defiance of illegals who couldn't care less that they are violating our laws. If a Guatemalan enters Mexico illegally, he will NOT be treated with any compassion. The Mexican police will most likely beat the crap out of him, steal his money, and then throw him out of the back of the police wagon once they cross the border.

Illegals aren't losing the battle. Their sheer numbers make it impossible to enforce our own laws.

The quote you cite just highlights how permissive they view American authorities. Just a slap on the wrist is all they expect. They just get a free ride back across the border so they can try again tomorrow.

However, before we get too smug, think of the lives of desperate poverty these people are trying to escape. We shouldn't judge them too harshly.

The sheriffs department where I live were told by petition of the people --to start doing their job and quit passing the buck-that it can't be done. And if they don't they will not pay that part of taxes and say why to IRS. That they will not pay someone for not doing their job-and the county can deal with all that signed

You shouldn't shun people who are part of your background. Illegal aliens are coming to this country to try and make theirs and their families life better. Think about when your grandparent, and parents came here from that lucky place you refuse to call home.
I'm sure they are happy to NOT have you there with them. You just make it hard for the people who have suffered to give their kids a better life. I am proud to be who I am. Thanks to that, my children and their childrens children will always know where our ROOTS come from originally.

Shame on you.

It's about time. That guy is just one of the few who actually is willing to do his job. The rest of them ought to grow some gonads, and start enforcing the laws. Round em up, and ship em out!!!!!
