It's more impressive if he was just a man. Being the son of God, well, you'd better be able to do something special. But a man who can walk on water is pretty impressive.

I don't have a problem with Jesus having a wife. I do have a pretty big theological problem with Christ having a bloodline. Sin is inherited from the man by a child, which is why Christ could be born of a woman and still be sinless (Mary was not sinless herself). Having that said, Christ would have had sinless children, and if he had male children, they could have sinless children. The Bible is clear on the fact that Christ was the only sinless person to ever walk this earth. Also, church doesn't make people divine; simply recognizes them. The only 'divine' human EVER was Jesus. Everyone else is just a reflection.

Jesus could have had a wife, buy why would He? He knew that he was going to be tortured and that he would die on the cross for us, why would he put a wife through that pain?? I dont think he would....Churches can't make people divine, there is only one divine being and that is Jesus Christ...

He did have a wife. His wife was the assembly or church. He was not just a man but the "Word made flesh" that "dwelt among us" (1st. John 1:1). In other words he was god in body. He did perform miracles. The church cannot make people divine; there is none righteous but him. His name is not Jesus, but Yahshua.

I don't think it would have been bad for Jesus to have a wife. I believe he was fully God and fully man. There is nothing in the scriptures to say that he shouldn't have had a wife. He had human desires and needed close friends, food, water, a mother and father. So why not a wife.

Jesus is a real person.
Jesus could have had a wife. He chose not to. His purpose in coming to the earth was far greater than raising a family of his own.
Righteous mankind as a whole is his family.

If he was human, then it would have been blasphemy for him to say he was the son of God. Either he was telling the truth, or he was a crazy person or a liar, not something in between like a prophet.

No, it's liberating for me to think that Jesus had some of the joys we experience. Makes me feel closer to Him.

I do. He just had the ability to do miracles.
("Jesus, I have some water here. Could you do like what you did in Cana? Please?")
