There's a girl at work, she eats junk food, like chips and double bubble gum all day long. I had a cup of soup at work one day and she mentionned that there's too much salt in cup of soups, but I have one like once in a blue moon. Unlike her she eats junk all day long and she criticizes about one thing having too much salt. What is worse one cup of soup once in a blue moon or junk all day long?? I just wanted to blurt out to her about her eating habits, but I'm not a cruel person.

Without Salt we cannot live. Simple as that.

Sugar on the other hand is nothing more than a glorified and acceptable DRUG! It acts like a drug. Ever heard the term "Sugar Rush" It has become so commonplace in our society that no one will admit that they could possibly be addiccted to it, but a lot of people are. And it is hard not to be because it is used in almost everything. Check the ingredients of almost any product, and you will see that there is some kind of sugar in there somewhere. We may need some sugars in our diets, but any natural sugars found in fruits could easily fill the bill. We do not need refined sugar in any way other than the feed the addiction that has been forced upon us.

Your right a cup of soup is not going to hurt you.
Eating junk all day..is not smart and who the
hell is she to worry about what your doing anyway?
Chips are full of not only sodium but fats and grease!
bubble gum is not that big of a deal but is pure sugar
for the most part!

Neither... it depends on how much you intake and you body ability to process the sugar and salt.

You are correct about her eating habits as being poor compared what is generally acceptable as good eating habits. And she is correct on cup of soups as being way to high on sodium. Both of you are correct on each instance.

You're not a cruel person, just a little tad sensitive.

Too much sugar makes you fat, and too much salt gives you high blood pressure. Also, remind her that chips have salt too. She is right about the canned soup, though. Read the label next time you buy one.
