My husband and I were talking about this just last night. Wouldn't it be nice to think that God is the god of all religions? If he looks at the persons heart and the devotion and love they feel first? I would like to think that God isn't simple minded and can see whats in someones heart. People limit god and make up what rules fit them. I'm humble enough to know I will not know until i meet my maker. But I personally believe that Jesus did save us from our sins, and whats honor in what he did...so wants people to recognize the great thing that he did. But if someone loves God in another country with all of his heart yet believe differently about Jesus, I hope and pray that they are judged by whats in their heart and soul. I like to thing of God as having that kind of mercy :)

Not going off, will try to explain the way my denomination views it. It is really tied together, so how can you believe and love God the Father and not God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit? The Bible says if you have the Son you have the Father, and you can only come to the Father by way of the Son. The Son sits at the right hand of the Father and He is our mediator. When the devil accuses us, the Son is there to declare us "not guilty" That's what we (Southern Baptists) believe. We also believe that it's not about "organized" religion. It's a personal, one on one, fellowship and relationship with Jesus that is the heart of our faith. What faith are you? Hope I explained our way a little. God bless............

I'm a little confused of your question. Do you believe in the Trinity? If so, then you believe in Jesus - He was God, only in human form sent to earth through Mary. Beyond that, I don't know what to tell you. Even while Jesus walked the earth, He was just like us. He got dressed in the morning, had body odor, burped, etc., but He had the Holy Spirit in Him. This is how he performed miracles, other apostles did also, not just Jesus. If you are at all questioning what you believe or questioning God, you need to pray and ask God to give you wisdom and talk with someone. Find and elder in the church, or talk to your pastor. I will tell you from experience, God will give you knowledge as you grow in Him!!!! (or at least guide you to the right person to help you along).

Technically, yeah, I got a bit of a problem with that one too.
Jesus said the only way to heaven is through me.
I like to believe when Jesus said "me" his meaning was God. Since God and Jesus is one.
What about all the Native Americans who lived in an area where Christianity was never reached? I do not believe they are all in hell just because they never heard "The Word".

No going off here! It's hard for me to answer this one. If you believe in the God of our Christian faith, he is part of a triune with the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ. To directly answer the one part of your question, since Jesus Christ is the only way to connect with God, the soul would be doomed as you suggest.
Hope that helps and hope it was polite enough for you to feel comfortable....thanks for asking!

Thank you for asking, it's a fair question.
Christianity is named Christianity because it is based on the person of Jesus Christ. Before Jesus died on the cross...people were saved by faith in the one true God. Since the death of Jesus on the cross...people can only be saved by faith in Jesus Christ as their savior. Jesus said, as recorded in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes to the Father, but by me".

it says in the bible for "God so love the world that he gave His one and only son that who so ever believes in him, should not perish but have ever lasting life" john3:16
Jesus said, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty" (John 6:35).
"I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture" (John 10:9).
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
The Bible tells us that we have all sinned, and are therefore separated from God (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23). The void you feel in your heart is God missing from your life. We were created to have a relationship with God. Because of our sin, we are separated from that relationship. Even worse, our sin will cause us to be separated from God for all of eternity, this life and the next (Romans 6:23; John 3:36).
People who love Jesus should not go off on you. You are asking and seeeking and thats exactly what God wants you to do. Jesus loves you and he knocks at your door all you have to do is open it and let him in so you can be fully blessed. Jesus is the only way to our Father, our creator,to heaven. I will pray for you. God bless you.

Depends on which sect of Christianity you ask. Some say you don't have to believe in Jesus at all, while the other thinks you're going to hell if you don't believe in every single thing written in the Bible.

to be blunt, yes the soul is doomed. that's coming from the Bible. Jesus said in john 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jesus is all He claimed to be, God in the flesh, a perfect man, saviour to us all.
You dont have to believe it, but why believe a part of the bible if it claims such radical things as to believe it as a whole.

Well, if you believe that Jesus was just a guy who knew a lot about God, you're not a Christian. I don't think you'll go to hell, but I take the "judge not lest ye be judged" thing to heart.
