hA, I wENT THROUGH THE SAME THING. My best friend gave me his number and i pranked call him, and he wasn't so happy. But then he got over it, I told him his name, and I still don't know if he knows who I am. Well, I hate him now because i wasted 5 months liking him and he didn't know who I was.
Get his number if you want, but make sure he knows you exist =\

If you call him, make sure it's not too late at night and that you have something you want to talk to him about.
Don't wait for him to call you because if he's like my husband was (he's a lot less shy now)he'll never do it because he'll be too scared.
