I tried to look it up on freetranslation.com, but all it gave me were words that when turned around meant I repent and I feel it.... is Lo siento still mean sorry? Or does it just mean "I feel it" to them?

Sorry is also very common in Mexico between the people who are bilingual...

Lo siento means "i feel it" but if you say Disculpe o disculpa o Perdon is ok Depends where you gonna use it.
Lo siento mucho "I feel so sorry"
Disculpa =Sorry
Sorry No pets Allowed= "Lo sentimos no aceptamos mascotas

Lo siento is like I feel it, or I feel for you. To say I'm sorry to someone I say "perdon"

lo siento is the correct way to say I'm sorry in Spanish
its literal translation is i feel it (you are right) which implies that you feel the pain with them...
perdon--pardon perdoname--pardon me
