You can run it with 256 but it likes 512.

If I remember correctly, MS says it can be run on 128 MB of RAM (this was before the SP's were released). I've never seen very good results on anything below 256 MB (technically it would run with less, but slowly and with more frequent errors/crashes), and 512 MB of RAM will improve performance quite a bit.

Min ram to run XP is 64 Mb, keeping graphics req. in mind. But performance is real poor if RAM is less than 128 Mb.
