If i just came out the Military as an Aircraft Mechanic with 4 years experience, how much do you think i'll start making at the beginning? (in the civilian world)
And then once i get some experience there, i get my A&P license, then how much i'll start making?

You got some excellent training from the military, but they only teach you what they need you to know to perform a specific task (or maintain a specific weapons system.) Once you leave the service, you'll need more training to be qualified to work on the full range of civilian aircraft, and the best thing you can do after four years of Military service is to use some of your GI Bill benefits to go to school to get your A&P license and at least a two-year Associate's Degree in aviation maintenance or maintenance management.

Once you have that A&P ticket in your pocket and the military service experience to back it up, you can expect to earn $15-20 per hour starting out with a regional airline, and a bit more with a major airline. General aviation will be a bit less, but still a good place to build experience for a better job down the road.

Not much with just 4 years, but it's at least a foot in the door. However, I don't know how well the Navy will prepare you for an A&P license. I'd suggest going to a local recruiter and asking to speak with a recruiter who is an AD or an AM.

Personally, I think you'll make a lot more then what people think with your four years of experience, especially it being in the military. Check the various airline websites and see how they compare to salary. I always find openings at USAIR (http://www.usair.com) Good luck and thanks for serving!
