First see that it is multi region. Second get the power supply plug adaptor ie. plugs in India are round pins. You get lots of pirated movies in India and Sony players dint read them, a Pioneer is better choice, Last but not least I have seen most of players bought in UK have a scart connector for video/audio out but in India we use RCA. So dint forget to get a matching adapter or cable with scart one side and RCA pins on the other.

prop not... all dvd players have region codes... so if you player is from the uk... and you buy a dvd in india... it wont play in you uk player... unless they have the same region code... check the back of the dvd case for the dvds region code... and the owners manual for the dvd players region code...

yes, but you will need to bring the plug converter since the plug that you need to plug in wall is round in india and in UK it is thick square once..

you may need to get your player multi regioned, check with your dealer, not to mention the plug bit.
