What does my dream mean?

Question

I was in love recently but got hurt so to help me heal I created the perfect man in my mind. I still think about the other guy who hurt me, I think about him a lot. I almost always dream about him, but two days ago I had a dream about him that really disturbed me. I think it means something. Does anyone know?

I'm in high school, and it was the last week of school, and in the dream my mom let me skip the past few days of school so it was the last day of school and I asked her "do I have to go" and she said yes so I got out of the car into the pouring rain, and I was in a parking lot. Everything was in shades of gray and other depressing, washed out colors, or maybe that was just the rain. I saw a glowing figure among the cars and upon approaching it I recognized it as the man who I was once in love with but hurt me. His back was facing me (he didnt know I was there) and there was a yellow glow coming from him. Almost a halo, and a car drove up and he got into it (which was weird cuz school hadnt started yet) and it drove away. He wasnt wet but I was drenched and the whole time I stood there staring at his back just knowing like he was depressed/disturbed and I woke up feeling like I needed to do something to comfert him. What does my dream mean?

oh yes...I ended the relationship because I found out that he was cheating

really nobody can interpret this dream but God, but I'll do the best I can ( with the help of God). well, maybe he was hurt that he hurt you. He drove away in the car (before school) because he didn't want to face anyone at school. Maybe on top of hurting you, there was a lose in his family. And on top of that, he knew you were perhaps after someone else. May be when you were gone from school, he realized that what he did was completly foolish, and now he thinks he can't have you back. the reson that he was glowing was because he was the only light thing in the grey, depressing picture. Let me analyze the dream..

You basically want to release your saddness in your dream. You want to create the last image of him leaving you. It is so clear that he was cheating you (his back was facing you and didn't know you were there).

Noticed there are couple of characters, things, places, event in your dream..

Mom - the person you can count on. (You still are dependent and have to ask her permission)

Skip school - something you want to escape from. In this case, probably your feeling towards him

Parking lot - a big open space that you want to be seen and everything else was gray. You were depressed not just because of the break up. You need someone to talk to. You entered a open space and you want to find someone. And yet the only person you saw is your ex-bf.

He wasn't wet and drove away - You care about others more than yourself. In your mind, your boy friend didn't care about you at all and yet you are willing to get wet (take the blame)

In conclusion, he is still in mind whether or not you dumped him.
He may be the most person you loved most or try to love most. To get over with him, you should directly talk to him if not done so. From what I see in you dream, you are dependent and need someone there to be with you more than be there with someone. (hope you know the difference) Somehow, you have to be strong to overcome your emotion (gray, color washed away....)

First of all, breaking up is never easy. But you do need to move on and be a better person. Maybe one day he'll look back and look at what an idiot he was for leaving, but you don't have to wait around for him to come to that realization.

Sounds like it might mean you think he's ready to move on and isn't depressed over this or sad (therefore he stays dry) ... and that you aren't ready to get over it yet. Also some significance to the fact he doesn't have to go to HS like he's graduated and moved on ... but you still have to go. Maybe you feel scared or uncertain about College or whatever the next step is.

Uneducated opinion here, but you seem to view him as someone almost "holier than thou", or that he was better than you. (he didn't get wet but you were soaked). he hurt you so you feel as if he has the "upper hand", so to speak, and he has the power to make your world seem grey, and take the color out of it, almost as if it's lifeless, and you believe that your energy, or the color in your world comes from him (why he was glowing)...

This dream seems to be the final goodbye for this relationship. It all happens on the "last day". When you are going on to school, and going on with your life, and he is on his way out. Hope this helps!
